Question:
I recently had a facelift and now my hairline is not where it used to be. Can a transplant be done to change my hairline back to the way it was?
Answer:
This is a very common problem in females and males undergoing facelifts. Most plastic surgeons do not acknowledge the fact that a facelift or a brow lift is going to raise the hairline and also leave the patient with very noticeable, visible surgical scars.
We can transplant not only into the surgical scars to make the scars much less noticeable (or totally undetectable in many cases) but we can also lower the hairline back to where it would normally sit. This kind of correction is a very common procedure for us. We perform it in the office. I find it very satisfying to see the improvement that we can achieve.
